Farm work, including refinishing our barn, building our ever-expanding gardens, and caring for our small community of rescued farm animals, aims to experientially connect residents to their own self-care. Physical exertion, including exercise, sports or labor, can be a great expression of internal emotional agitation. And there are few greater satisfactions than watching our efforts blossom into a tangible result. Providence men are offered the opportunity to care for our gardens, barn, animals and facilities, as a meaningful service to future residents, vulnerable animals, and to the community that has welcomed us. Community members may also request and schedule a visit to see Providence gardens and animals alongside our residents.
