Growth happens when you’re uncomfortable. Embrace the discomfort.

Hi, I’m Taylor. I’m a live-in mentor at Providence Farm. I grew up on the western slope of Colorado and lived in Boulder for a few years. I moved to Northbrook in December 2019 after I finished primary treatment at Open Sky Wilderness Therapy. My time living at Providence Farm helped me get my life back on track. I am extremely grateful to have had the opportunity to be a part of such an inclusive community.

Mental health has been a very important part of my journey in recovery. I have struggled with depression and anxiety for most of my life and learning coping strategies and working the AA twelve steps has been extremely beneficial in learning to live a normal life.

I hope to share some of what I learned with people who are new to recovery. It is such a privilege to journey alongside of others as their lives grow and as they turn into the people they were truly meant to be.

I’m very passionate about everything outdoors. I love camping, backpacking, and especially rock climbing. In school, my interest is the study of Environmental Sciences. I’m a huge Star Wars and Lord of the Rings nerd. One of my favorite things is to hang out at the farm with my dog Ahsoka.
